The VC & CEO Cycling Tour 2025: Arusha Circuit

The 2025 VC & CEO Cycling Tour, themed ‘Ride for Education and Road Safety’, brought together stakeholders to mark the KCA University Foundation’s annual fundraising event. The Arusha Circuit, saw participants cover 689KMs from KCA University to Arusha, Tanzania, via the Namanga border and return through the Tarakea border.

VC & CEO Prof. Isaiah I.C. Wakindiki and Eng. Joseph Mbugua, CBS (PS, State Department for Roads), officially launching the Centre for Road Safety Awareness and Traffic Injury Surveillance.

This flagship event raised Ksh 4,269,549.00, providing vital support for KCA University scholarships and the development of the Centre for Road Safety Awareness & Traffic Injury Surveillance, which was officially launched during the event.

Beyond the numbers, the Arusha Circuit was a triumph for regional advocacy and sustainability. By aligning with theUN Sustainable Development Goals, the tour actively promoted road safety, physical wellness, and non-motorized transport to reduce carbon emissions across East Africa. The three-day cycling tour gained regional publicity, which led to a significant rise in institutional inquiries. The legacy of the 2025 tour lives on through the strategic networks created and the bright futures of students who can now access quality education thanks to the generosity of our partners and the grit of our cyclists.
